I’ve agreed to watch my sister’s kid for three days a week while she works part-time at her old job. It will bring in a little bit of money. Also-the library job search seemed to be dead in the water. I turned in two apps, had an interview downtown, and seemed all set for one more interview and hopefully a job but I didn’t seem to go that second interview.
We went to the library on Thursday night which was a bit out of our normal routine but I had some movies come in and needed more books so off we went. When we checked out Chris got to talking with the lady about me being perfect for the job. Turns out she’s the circulation director and will have an opening soon. So another app and hopefully when I turn it in on Monday something good will happen. No idea on the times needed or whether it’s full or part time. But it’s something.
My sister has two fairly normal kids and then there’s Gabby. She’s just like her mom: bossy, strong willed, and temperamental. Oh, and loud. Supposedly I am suppose to be able to change Nick Jr’s line up to be just Diego and Dora. This is not going to be the easiest money I’ve ever earned. In the least. But mom did give me some pointers and said she would bring some toys up. I am so not prepared as I have no toys or kid’s videos around to entertain her. Right now, we don’t have the money to purchase videos or toys but we will work it out.
Our local grocery store has starting carrying a new snack mix made by Cheerios. It is very good and so addictive. Sitting here at the hubby’s work with Dr Pepper and the Cheerio snack mix. That with some peanut M&Ms and coffee ice cream in the freezer. Life is good here in Tulsa.
Weather has finally cooled down here in T-Town. Evening lows has been in the fifties and sixties and highs in the seventies and eighties. Overall it’s been really nice. With this nice weather, I can at least get Gabby out some to the park or whatever.
