The fact is is that your man can drive you to drinking…Now whether you pick up that drink or not is up to you. My man is excellent at driving me crazy. Calls me up to see how I’m doing. Wonderful, caring, thoughtful gesture. I reply that I am hungry. He asks whether there’s anything in the back to eat. I reply yeah, the vending machine. He then says oh, okay, I’m going to watch my movie then. Am I really too subtle or is he just that dense? If the conversation had been reversed his reply would I’m hungry would have prompted a run (by me) (regardless of what I’m doing) to see to my man’s need. Thanks, baby. I honestly don’t think that man is going to get some French toast this morning. And yes, I’m pissy right now. Hunger makes me that way.
Did y’all know that the Tribeca Hotel in NYC has bowls of goldfish and that if you wish you can take them to your room. That’s a cool gesture. I’ve been browsing hotel websites and the Travel and Leisure website tonight (my book sucked). I’ve thought that designing hotels would be cool-not sure about running them. Perhaps a small hotel I could run. Say 15-30 rooms, single story or maybe just two stories with all the rooms around a courtyard. Some French/NOLA type wrought iron balconies and the first floor would have personalized patios. Some great outdoor lightning, some very comfy chairs, resort-type pool and a couple of hot tubs. Rooms would all be non-smoking, decorated in different colors but very rich jewel tones. Wood floors with rugs and French doors to the balcony. Just smoky dreams on a hazy summer day.
So hopefully we’re off to the lake this afternoon. Probably when it hits the hottest temps. When I get home it’ll be some French toast (egg and milk mixed together with a little vanilla and cinnamon to dip pre-sliced French bread in) and cinnamon coffee (although it just may be chicory by the time I get home), call chiro around eight and hopefully out the door. Then a few bills to pay, stand in line for the tag agency and then maybe to the bank. Home to pack and then off to the lake-Chris will be driving. If no lake (which is a probability) then rest and perhaps groceries tonight. Tomorrow perhaps some antiquing/junking which Chris will just love (sarcasm so early in the morning). Who knows. The weekend is ripe for possibility.
Well, my obligation to update this thing is done and I am out the door. Have a great day.
