Seems everyone is still a little post-holiday. Although the rest of the world is more than likely headed back to work tomorrow. Spent New Years Eve at work although I only came up to smooch on the boyfriend. Then went home and crashed so I could go to church. Not much excitement here.
A couple of news stories for y’all. A coal mine explosion in West Virginia has left 13 miners trapped underground. The explosion may have been sparked by lightening although no one is quite sure what happened yet. The miners are 260 feet below ground and haven’t been heard from in 16+ hours. Crews are working on drilling down to them.
More wildfires in Oklahoma and Texas. Authorities are going house to house after this weekends blazes across New Mexico, Texas, and Oklahoma. Here in Tulsa we have a extreme fire alert out. Low humidity, above average temps, and gusty winds make conditions very volatile. No fire crackers this New Years.
Baseball is all quiet for right now. Only a month and a half now till spring training. Hopefully we can fill in the holes we’ve got. Well, I’m going to mosey and actually work. See ya tomorrow.
